Motorcycle toll road charges should be less than car toll road charges.

W Warren Young · NZ

NZTA places motorcycles in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) bracket when calculating toll charges. This means LCV's generally have a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of 3,500 kg (3.5 tonnes) or less. This means the total weight of the vehicle, including its contents, cannot exceed this limit.

A motorcycle is considerably less than this:

The combined weight of a motorcycle, rider, and passenger can vary widely depending on the motorcycle model and the rider's and passenger's weights. However, most motorcycles are designed to carry a rider and passenger within a specific weight limit, typically ranging from 136 to 227 kg.

Cars are therefore much heavier and have more of an impact on road wear and tear.

Therefore motorcycles should be charged a much lower toll charge, if at all).

(ACC levies are separate to toll charges)
